Is the reservoir from the Vivid Air D1 reverse-compatible?

No. Even though the new reservoir will fit the previous generation shock, we do not recommend using it. The increased oil flow of the new reservoir results in suboptimal performance between the new reservoir and the older Vivid Air C1 shocks, even with re-tuning.
