With Adjustable Hydraulic Bottom Out, you get to set how much resistance your shock will offer in a bottom-out event: leave it completely open for the same ramp and resistance you’re used to, or click-by-click, close it off to find your perfect amount of bottom-out control. When you rotate the adjuster knob, it opens up or closes down a restrictive port that allows that oil to flow through, allowing it to offer more bottom out control, or less.
